Motif Design
The Guxu litchi pattern takes center stage, drawing inspiration from the iconic fruit of the ancient Guxu region (today’s Suzhou area). Unlike the traditional geometric patterns of Song brocade, the litchi motifs are rendered in a vivid, lifelike style—plump fruits with delicate textures, paired with winding branches and lush leaves, creating a lively and elegant visual effect. Each litchi motif is proportioned precisely to ensure balanced distribution across the fabric, avoiding overcrowding and highlighting a sense of refined simplicity. Weaving & Texture Details
